I was gonna make a thread of praise too, but I'll post here instead.

I must say, Toady has a real knack for keeping things fun. I was really apprehensive when I heard about adding z-levels and the huge number of new minerals in the game, but somehow it's even more addictive this version than the last!

It's the right balance between "realism" and good fun gameplay that keeps me coming back, and as long as that's kept in check, the game will be awesome.
