This is a community fort dedicated to learning more about the game and it will be dedicated to the choices made by drawing form a deck of cards. This is my first community fort, so advice welcome.

How this works: I will draw cards after set markers. Each person will call either "high" or "low" in a form of vote. Low means opposite of, high means take the option presented by the drawn card. Each suit means something different.
High Clubs mean war and violence. Drawing a high club would mean my next action would somehow have to do with war, which can range from building  a danger room to making more weapons. Low clubs means defense and peace. It can range from more walls and traps to not killing the elves when they come over.
High Diamonds means economy and treasure. Increase rescourses on gold bars, make more useless cr craft items. Low Diamonds means more person utility, such as waterfalls or engraving, for the dorfs.
High hearts means health and culture. More plants, get some doctor dwarves to work. Low hearts means more machines, get an atom smasher or a custom trap.
Spades means community input. High spades means projects, such as perpetual motion machines, where as low spades means advice, such as "use a trap door to drop elves into pits when they try to leave".
The numbers simply mean the amount of influnce it will have, 1 meaning it will be a small thing, 10 meaning it will be a more heavy conversion of policy. Jacks will mean open community commands (as long as they are relevant to the suit) (jack of spades mean "I am your slave in the fortress"), queens means policy change, but no direct impact, king means commands but no suggestions, ace means... something. I'll figure it out.

Right, that's it. I'm going to start my fortress normally. First draw is the 6 of clubs. suggest what you will.

Well shucks. Nothing more fun than opening up a succession game to see half the dwarves with melted faces.

this is community, not sucession, I figure the best wayt o help myself up the spiked, merciless, mocking vertical wall that is the learning curve would be community players telling me how to mess up, so I don't do it in the future.

Read the rules several times, didn't get it.
So, for 6 of Clubs I should make either defencive or offencive suggestion? like "6 cage traps in line" or "crossbows, quivers and bolts for everyone"?

Did you know that the Russian word for "sock" is "no sock"?
I just saw a guy with two broken legs push a minecart with a corpse in it. Yeah.

That sounds correct the way I read it.  The suggestion for offense or defence idea would come after we do a vote.

I think:
1- Card drawn and announced
2- We vote to do it (high), or the opposite (low)
3- If it was Spade or Jack then we give official input on what to do
4- Skywerewolf then takes action in the fort

I'm going to be the first to point out that your avatar is all sorts of appropriate for this thread Ruhn.

So 6 of Clubs means going into the area and setting up traps, hunting down as many living things as possible, cutting down most of the trees, throwing up stone walls, and acting all 'This is my land'?

Or something like that?
