Meditation might help that. I've heard good things about reading, too. I am not being sarcastic, I have had discussions with ADD sufferers who have said that they trained themselves somewhat out of that through extensive reading. That's just a thing I have heard, though.
ehhhhh, That sounds pretty bullshit to me having ADHD myself. (the med I use is pretty good it's almost a sleep aid sort of - it says on the thing I could take alcohol with it and I would become very drowsy - So that sounds like a good way to avoid taking a sleep medication that I might end up abusing. But enough plugging about how I like my med)

Eh, right now I think it's more that I need to break out of a habit I've gotten into, that being avoiding the world as much as possible by distracting myself. Right now I spend the majority of my time reading, surfing the internet or playing video games, cause it lets me distract myself from reality.

I think ADD and ADHD are somewhat distinct conditions. Or rather, I think they are a somewhat broad collection of similar conditions. I could see someone with a functional level of attention deficit training their way out of it. On the other hand, these were anecdotal evidence, and I make no claim as to how useful the technique is - I am not a psychiatrist.
