Playing Dwarf Fortress for the First Time
« on: May 06, 2013, 01:00:18 am »

Well.. Trying to anyways….

I have a mac (don't. just. don't.) and I get this error in Terminal every time I try to start it up.

Code: [Select]
Last login: Sun May  5 22:49:22 on ttys000
BLANK-BLANK's-imac-2:~ BLANK$ cd/Users/BLANK/Desktop/df_osx
-bash: cd/Users/BLANK/Desktop/df_osx: No such file or directory
BLANK-BLANK's-imac-2:~ BLANK$

Here's what I did.
1. Went onto Bay12 and downloaded the Mac (Intel) version.
2. Dragged the df_osx folder from Downloads to my Desktop. I did not Copy it, I only moved it.
3. Opened Terminal and typed in cd, then dragged the folder from my desktop and dropped it into the Terminal window and pressed the enter key
4. Error occurred.
5. Established thread so that I could plead for help.

Anything I can do to resolve this?

I'm on a mac as well. I simply
1. Downloaded from Bay12
2. Copy/pasted to desktop
3. Ran "df" inside the folder
Try that, it should work...
