As an added bonus, I should be able to link up the floodgates and allow the water to be dumped onto the bridge to sweep some invaders off when I want.
That is unless they use amphibious mounts :P

Any kind of water higher than 3/7 on a tile (3/7+) will render it impassable to those who use pathing (meaning...everything non-aquatic). So setting up a moat seems better, or something to knock foes into a sharp drop.

PS. Waterfall passing through space, and then hitting a floor where nobody will pass through, only to be moved back to the top (like most fountains nowadays). Easy mist, hope your FPS can handle it. Use single tile waterfalls because they work in a more practical way (unlike real life humans, dwarves have the simple touch of appreciation.)
