Possession cloth type

I have a possessed dwarf that took over a clothier and it says "cloth...thread..." I have plenty of both and he doesn't make anything. I saved a few times and experimented with different cloth types and he keeps failing his possession. Is there like a specific cloth I need?

Do you have any actual thread, or just the cloth?

dwarves always want cloth, never thread.

To the first poster: does he maybe want other things first? they will only take the items in a certain order, so if he wants say stone, cloth, logs, gems he won't get the cloth until he gets a stone first.

Do you have both plant and silk type cloth? Maybe he wants one type in particular.
