Before i start, im sorry for asking this question because i think someone else asked it before, but i couldnt find their thread and i didn't see if it was ever confirmed or denied :

If a siege-ballista is destroyed and then rebuilt back up again with the same parts by the one same dwarf, over and over, will he gain experience in siege engineering?

I'd assume yes.

I've done something like that to train a dwarf in both carpentry and architecture by having him repeatedly build and destroy a bridge, so I would imagine that would work.
