I tried to see how much I could fill his chest before slapping the new heart in. I ended up filling it with so much crap that the heart wouldn't fit and I had to use the clipboard as a shovel to bail all this shit out of his chest cavity before I could throw his new heart in there. Surgery is hard.

Do tell about it for fucks sake! I always wanted surgery sims!

The only other surgeon sim I'm aware of (Not counting the Trauma Center games or the flash games, I don't really count them as 'sims') is an ancient (DOSBox probably required) game called Life And Death, it's extremely difficult and very realistic. It's fun, though, and also contains quite a lot of interesting medical information.

Oh i know those! Those games are fun! Though they didnt allow me to carve "I <3 Surgery" into the patients face :/

Its a damn shame you couldn't Temple of Doom the surgey. You know, just jam your hand right in there, rip the heart out, shove the new one in. Surgery in 20 seconds flat!

Is there a way to make your hand go deeper? I cut everything (yes everything) out, including the veins connected to the heart, but then I couldn't reach in to pull it out.

If clicking and moving the wrist foward and back doesnt do it, try digging the heart out by using the clipboard.

It's the LMB to reach your hand down.
There is no bottom limit as far as I can tell.

Get your scalpel and turn it around in there some more.

I also cut all veins, but couldn't pull it out. You get some hilarious glitches when you grab the heart while it's still stuck and release LMB.

As much fun as it will be performing..... 'dwarven surgery' I'm still wiating for an actual surgery simulator of some sort, like the Life & Death games I never got to play.

That one screenshot... I wonder if you'll have to do paperwork with your one wonky arm?

Also that multiplayer video is awesome =p

Just played the new version for 40 minutes or so... It seems a bit more difficult (ribs y u no brake?) and there's a lot more crap to throw on the floor in anger when you accidentally drop a saw into a guys chest cavity. Maybe I'm just out of practice. I'd say it's worth spending money on if you REALLY loved the original version (which I did), otherwise wait for a 75% off sale or something.

Life and Death and Life and Death 2: The Brain were DOS games, just google them.

EDIT: Oops, just realized i responded to a 3 month old post.
