How do I remove or delete a stockpile?

For reference for anyone else finding this thread, use [p] to enter "[P]ile Designation" mode, then hit
  • to choose to destroy piles.  Designate as normal by using the arrow keys to select one corner, then move the cursor to the other corner and tap the Enter key again.  Hit Space before hitting Enter the second time if you want to cancel.
