Brainstorming chronomancy spells?

Thinking of a mage/shaman with powers derived from the sun and moon.  Any thoughts on the spells he could wield?

Meteor storm, solar flare, are easy enough of course.  Moon could be lunacy on foes, or some kind of reflection/protection on friends.

In particular, chrono spells, lets say they are connected with his Oracle's foresight and prophetic knowledge of the mystical calendar.  Is there a way to add tag "drops dead of old age one month from today?"  Any other ideas for spells related to time or the calendar?

It's fairly easy to create a "drops dead one month from now" syndrome (just have a very long time before the syndrome has an effect), though very difficult to have a drops dead of old age spell (impossible in fact).

Hm.

I've just gotten back into modding, so I'd be unable to help much. But lunar spells could inflict temporary lycanthropy on allies, and chrono spells could work similarly to Doom Desire, a Pokemon move, where the enemy is hit with a LOT of psychic energy after several ticks/turns.

Psychic energy here meaning "heavy bleeding at START:33600".

Hmm.  Can I make it so enemies are debuffed/cursed by a variable amount that depends on the position of the lunar cycle?

I don't see what a meteor storm has to do with the sun or the moon.

Sun:
Solar Flare - A burning energy
Blinding Light - Blind your foes
Warming Touch - Soothe your allies
Sterilizing - Give them that radiation poisoning, and purge the unclean

Moon:
Darkness - More Blinding
Shrouding - Invisibility
Lycanthropy - Hulk out
Hollow Curse - Zombify

Maybe transform the target creature into generic "drained husk" creature with very low maxage?

Chrono:
Doom Desire/Prophecy: Time delayed instakill
Reverse Time/Chronoshift: Revive a single target
Temporal Rift/Chronocut: Cripple a group of enemies
Apocalyptic Visions: Crippling, time delayed kill

Do we know if blinding causes hit penalties in combat?

I don't see what a meteor storm has to do with the sun or the moon.

He's an orcish oracle-shaman, his understanding of astronomy is different than ours ;)

Yeah, PERIODIC should work just fine.

Also, I'm pretty sure blindness causes hit penalties.

Check lycantrophy example interaction, it only works on full moon. You could give a spell that turns one of your pets into a were-pet-version (start:0, no end), so you get a max of 12 were-pets a year from it. :)
