In what manner shall death be dealt with?

One death is it! Afterwards, either upload the save or build a fortress for future adventurers.

As many tries as you like; so long as you stick to the one-week limit, you may start as many new adventurers as it takes.

Save scumming is fine. However many tries it takes to get your chosen hero to her/his destination.

Yep, people respawn, not just soldiers. They even do it if you don't kill them I once entered a town, left it, and did it again and again to see multiple people with the same name.

Well at least I know the important historical figures I killed will remain dead. Will the respawning civilians' bodies remain?

If I remember correctly, yes, bodies will remain of the people you killed even while the person you killed is standing right next to their own dead body.

That's probably because the game currently tracks items, like corpses, but not non-historical figures, and will recreate non-historical figures who have died or left the area. Or, actually, been made historical by your talking to them: I've noticed in one fort that if I talked to the non-historical guards and then left, those guards I talk to would still be there when I returned, but someone woudl replace their now-empty non-historical slot as a guard. This was't always a clone of the first, especially if you didn't kill/recruit them and instead just walk away after talking to them.

Sorry for taking so long, but I should be able to play frequently enough for the rest of my turn.

While exploring north from the zombie mountain titan's lair, I was ambushed by three goblins in the night. I killed the elite goblin bowman, and retrieved from his corpse a masterwork iron crossbow menacing with spikes of wolf bone (I thought it was pretty cool), along with a bunch of masterwork/superior quality clothes. I switched out my clothes (which I have been wearing from that start, and I never bothered to swap them for any better equipment) and put the crossbow in my pack for safe keeping. Maybe some day I can train up my markself skill with it.

I got ambushed again, this time by a single goblin axeman. I killed him, and finally got some metal armor. Too bad it's only copper, but I now have protection for my chest and head.

I accidentally recruited a dirty human farmer when I only wanted to stay in his house. Luckily he drowned in a river that I crossed, so I didn't have to kill him myself and become an enemy of this civilization too.

Aren't you going to head to the retirement home soon? I would think you got all the requirements by now, <(---- addy spear as significant item and you stated you had legendary skills.

I still need one more, but I am working my way down to the retirement home currently. Along the way I am committing mass murder with the axe in the hopes that I will be a legendary axeelf too.

Aye, it's been more than two weeks since you started your turn, and over a week since your last update. Could you please see about finishing your turn?

Save

I died on the way to the retirement home to kobold archers. Damn it. Well, I'm surprised I lasted that long without any armor. Anyway, somewhere in the world there is a dead elf in a kobold camp surrounded by adamantine weapons, one of which has several hundred kills on it. If only Vodrilus had made some adamantine armor to go along with those weapons...

Sorry, I am really busy this week so probably won't have much time to play. Could you skip me and perhaps place me lower on the turn list?
