Read about him in a horrible histories book, so the following knowledge may or may not be accurate, but hey.

Hey, me too!  That's the only reason I know the name at all.  Do the Catholic Church seriously not have records about this sort of thing?

Horrible Histories: more reliable then the Catholic Church. Slap that on the cover of the next batch.

I think he may be some sort of an unoffical celtic style saint or something.

Yeah, I'd say that's miracle territory alright. 1) Born of a dead mother 2) Buried alive 3) For 7 days (ala the 7 Days of Creation) 4) Surviving 4 days longer than full grown adults could without fluids.
