I've found several versions of Nidokoenig's My Little Fortress, but I don't know which one I should play.  Of the following versions, which is the best?

• The original My Little Fortress
• Electric Boogaloo
• Fanon is Magic
• Friendship is Magma
• Losing is Magic
• Rampage Edition

Well, for one thing, "Losing is Magic" replaces "Fanon is Magic" because they're different versions of the same mod. ("Fanon is Magic" is the old version, "Losing is Magic" is the newest.) It's the one I play. If you want this one, read the last few pages of the "Losing is Magic" thread for some necessary bits you need to add to the raws to fix some bugs.

 (Similar thing for "Rampage Edition" and "Friendship is Magma". Name changed to represent a major change in the mod, with "Friendship is Magma" replacing "Rampage Edition".)

You also forgot Fallout: Equestria, assuming you were just going for mods based on MLP stuff. That one's my favorite.

I am torn between Fallout Equestria and the Rampage version. The latter is utterly insane, while the former is still hard while somewhat survivable.

I'm looking for the best version of Pony Fortress, not any other My Little Pony based mod, but Pony Fortress.  Which of the following versions of Pony Fortress is the best?  The original, Electric Boogaloo, Friendship is Magma, or Losing is Magic?

Losing is magic is the latest. Friendship is Magma is an older version of Rampage Edition.

Nope, Valikdu released a version called Friendship is Magma, In Utter Darkness II,http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=121116.0 that does replace Rampage Edition. Not that I play it, it's a bit too dark for my taste.

"Losing is Magic" is the one I favor. I have been really intrigued by "Fallout: Equestria", but I don't think I could manage playing it. It's crazy complex and I'm still really new to the game. (The original mod looks fun too, but a shame it's only for an old version of Dwarf Fortress.)

I still use a modified version of the original.  If you want to ease into the pony mod, I'd try the original.  There's a link in one of the later posts by Dsarker with an updated version that works in .34.11.

I like a lot of the things that Sorcerer did for Losing is Magic, but I haven't tried it in full yet because there are a lot of changes (such as a research system) that I don't feel like learning yet.
