Just add

   [DIPLOMAT_BODYGUARDS]
   [MERCHANT_BODYGUARDS]

to the elves in entity_default.txt.
I hope it applies to current worlds! By the way, does it matter exactly where I put it in the Forest Entity?

I'd say the only good elf is a dead elf, but depending on where you embark that might not necessarily be true.
