Giant creature breeding
« on: January 31, 2013, 08:16:02 am »

Ok simple question can I breed giant (non vermin) creatures without adding child tag, I all ways assumed it was included in the copied tags, I know you have to do it for ones that are giant versions of vermins. I want to start a giant crow breeding program. I want to replace my peafowls with them so they can supply an acceptable number of eggs, so I can have another 3 purpose animal in my fortress, I modded them to be trainable.

It depends on exactly what giant creature you want to breed. If the normal creature is missing the [CHILD:X] token then so will the giant creature. In the case of giant crows you should be fine though, as normal crows have [CHILD:1].

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!
