Force siege?
« on: January 29, 2013, 02:06:43 am »

I just screwed up my game and have to restart, but after wasting so much time on it, I don't want to abandon the fort, I want to see it BURN !  any way I can force a siege?

No, but if you really want to see a fortress burn there are a few easy steps that you can do:
1)Dig down as far as you can go.
2)When you see raw adamantine, dig straight down the middle of it as far down as you can go.
3)Watch your fortress die in horrifying glory.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

If you're using DFHack there's a command you can run that will technically force a siege.  I think it was just posted as an inline Lua script that required you to know the civ ID of the attackers though, so... probably not worth the trouble.

For quick and easy results, do what i2amroy said.

If someone can post an explanation on how to do it using DFHack(or otherwise) it would be great. I bet that at one point or another we all wanted to send waves of foes to crash against our fortress. Meanwhile, thanks for the suggestion, I went with i2amroy quick solution.
