1) So long as it is not downright annoying, I guess some oddities in the game can easily be ignored if the story and horror aspects are good. Still in my To Buy list it is then.

2) I am a little confused about CK2 now. It is point-based? As in, there is a minimum point requirement for the player by the end of a time period or is it just points as in... who fared better? If it's the latter, that would be great. The former, however...

3) True, my apologizes for not specifying, I forgot there are nearly a dozen versions.  Is Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI any good?

1) I wouldn't know. It is just something to keep a heads up on. The gameplay faults are intentional to enhance the story and horror.

2) Yes CK2 is point based. You play until a stop date and it adds up all the points each of your characters earned and tells you, your rank. It is ignored but it is how the game is played.

3) It is too far out from where I left the series for me to officially say.
1) In that case, it shall definitely stay in my To Buy list.

2) Kinda like Civilization then. Well, since the ranking system can be ignored, into my To Buy list it shall remain then.

I very much appreciate your help, thank you! :)

It's the latter. At the end, it compares how you did with historical medieval dynasties, like the Capets, the Planteganets and the Habsburgs.
Wundaba! Thank you!

I hope you don't actually think it's spelled "wundaba", oh god.

Just to make sure my post has some purpose, should I get Blood Bowl (Cyanide's CE, unless there's some benefit to buying LE)? I've never played the board game but I like the concept, it looks really complicated though. Does it have any comprehensible ingame tutorial or at least readily available guides on the Jootubes?

Blood Bowl CE is really the complete game as it should have been from the start, featuring all of the board game's races plus one created for the digital version.  It plays the same as the board game - that was WH's requirement or Focus/Cyanide would face legal action.  It started off buggy as hell and the first release was nominated as the most expensive beta on the market.
It has been cleaned up a lot now, although I only have LE and debating whether to get CE, other games are of greater interest to me at present, maybe wait for it to end up in the bargain bin at EB.

There is a Blood Bowl thread you could read, it is an in-progress league, this would give you a good run-down on the game, http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=102125.0.

Edit: Clarified the whole point of my ramble with an underline.

Oh cool, guess I'll wait then. I did notice the thread but there didn't really seem to be much of anything going on there, so yeah.

How's Spore?  Every time I see stuff about it, it looks cool and I want to play, but remembering the shitstorm that happened before/when it was released ...

I didn't really like it.  Its one of those things that look really cool when you hear about it, but then when you play it there isn't much  depth.

Just don't expect anything even remotely close to evolution happening. If the game still seems cool you'd probably like it.

About spore. It's quite fun, but really, most of that fun is from the fact that you get to mess with your creatures. In essence, four of it five stages are just distilled version of other games, and the fifth, while arguably better, is still rather limited.

It's a game about creativity, not tactics or challenge.

Had this on iOS. Not sure if the PC version is different, but it was quite a good game. Not TOO contrived plot line and pretty good combat with a variety of weapons, but not sure it's worth the £13 price tag.

Is Sword of the Stars II significantly better than the first? I enjoy the first, and am wondering if I should update.

I like the SOTS 2, if its on sale definitly get it, but be warned the learning curve is quite higher than the first. They tried to simplify it so much, in the end they made it a bit more complicate in some aspect. But all in all if you like the first you have to at least try the second.

Its the same core element with some improvement and the ships... wow the ships man they can be gorgeous and HUGE.

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?
