Sexuality is far too complex to say that it's a choice, that it's genetic, that it can never change at all throughout life, or anything similarly reductionistic, but to say that people can just decide through sheer will to change their orientation is at least as misguided, and extremely harmful. Plenty of people have tried. It doesn't work that way.

I am pretty sure that people can get cured through reeducation or conversion therapy. And I think people are right in saying that it isn't a heraditary trait, so to speak. Indeed, it is truly an incredible complex problem. Here's a link for an article I found about the subject if you wish to know more.

So after all your other arguments, which seem to now amount to excuses, it finally comes out that you're just plain homophobic. Wonderful.

I've noticed this is the only thread you've posted in; are you someone's alt account, or what?

HI DUMBASS.

Thank you kindly for posting an article from 1965! Gully Gee, fuckass, thank you for your enlightening comment and citation of fuckassery. (No pun intended.)

Conversation Therapy has no empirical evidence that it does anything, in fact it has quite a horrendius negetive impact on most, if not everyone that has been forced to have Conversation Therapy or those that do so voluntarily.  Its Psedo Science based on ideology and in defiance of fact.

Homosexuality is normal, part of the continuum of sexuality. Its found through out the animal kingdom and through out human history. There whole swaths of human culture that didnt give to shits about homosexuality.

There are no accredit professional pych organization that find Conversation Therapy as effectual, and most if not all of them find it to be worthless and harmful. The APA considers its practice a violation of the Hippocratic Oath.

You show me a contemporary organization thats in favor of conversation therapy, and I'll show you that its bigoted prejudice institution.

Doesn't seem like there's much of a point removing half of the thread to make it a less-reported thread again, so we can consider this iteration on the topic at its natural stopping point.  BlackDevil is toast after extrapolating his or her 4 post contribution to the forum out to hundreds of posts and looking at the opportunity costs and stuff.
