a few hours ago, I could not reach the forum. I got a message saying:
"database error. Please try again. If you get this message again, please contact the administrator"

So I got that message more than once, but since I could not reach the forum, could not post about it. Now, I can get back on the forum, so I suppose I should let the administrator know.

Ah okay. I tried for 20 minutes, then went to sleep as it was way past bedtime

One of the log tables crapped out and needed to be repaired.  I could only get the maintenance message up once I became aware of it, so there was an error message up for a while, and after that it took another hour or so to fix, so I gather the forums were down for...  five hours?  I'm not sure.  It happens every once in a while.
