Hit the deck, firing on them, starting with the guy with a big gun.
Seeing as no one has a syringe gun, I would agree with you if it wasn't for the turn.

Suggestions are for squares!

Sneak around in the dead guard's uniform. Cut the throats of lone guards when nobody else is watching (cover their mouths when doing so), and hide the bodies. Search each body for a map of the area.

It was 2:1 join with pirates when I typed this. Sorry, mr. ninja.

You steal the guy's clothes, noting his skin tone was that of... Medium? Not black and not white, but closer to white. You remember some of these people from earlier were straight up white, so, you're in luck.

The clothing dosen't exactly fit right, it's rather loose and if it wasn't for the belt you'd have trouble keeping your pants on. While slightly irritating, it's nothing you can't deal with.

You walk out into the group of bandits completely unnoticed. Listening to their chatter is boring, but eventually hints at where a leader is located.

Just as you near his "house" (which was pretty pitifully constructed by American standards but was actually pretty good for the island you were on) you hear someone scream.

"AY, YO, THE PRISONER IS LOOSE! SEARCH THE AREA!"

Shit.


The leader bursts out of his cabin in time to see you standing in his doorway.

"Hey. I'm a soldier. You should let me join you, instead of selling me into slavery. I'll just kill your buyers."
Maybe it was that no one noticed that you were right in front of them, maybe it was the AK-47, or maybe he was just looking for a new person."

"Sure, but you'd better be sure. I don't want any mutiny or doubt. There's a rebel outpost near here, I want it gone. If you can do it, I think you'll go far. Deal?"

Sighing, you agree. You didn't exactly want to kill anyone right off the bat, but it wasn't like you had that much of a choice.

"I'll at least get you some clothes that fit. Or, try. Fuck, how about I just let you into the storeroom? We don't exactly have guns you don't already have."

After finding some semi-fitting clothes, you find yourself in a crimson t-shirt, loose-fitting jeans, a red headband, sneakers, and arm bandages. You looked like a bona-fide bad person. Armed with a belt full of magazines and a regular AK-47, you meet up with the leader again.

"All right. You're fighting natives to the island, which cause us problems. We're criminals. They don't like us. We don't like them. We all have guns. Go solve that."

Simple enough. You ride a jeep filled with three other pirates up to the target village. It's small, nestled next to a cliff, and has a road going through it. You see the other pirates- one carries a Dragunov SVD and a Skorpion, the others just AK-47s.

You scout the area with the pirates before going in and [4] find multiple armed soldiers- in fact, you find nearly no one who's unarmed.

You need to command the pirates. Who will do what?

Tell the guy with the Dragunov to pick off some of the other guys, and keep the guy with the Skorpion with the sniper. Have the men with the AKs go storm the castle village.

((Are you counting the Skorpion as an SMG or a machine pistol?))

Do you see that Timmy? That's a plotline being shot full of holes and burning up in atmosphere. Ya' know, they say if you listen closely, you can almost hear the sounds of all the plot points screaming as they're incinerated.

Question why we're already leading a group when we were a prisoner thirty seconds ago. Then order the sniper into the trees, who didn't see that cliche from a mile off. The three others to just start shooting. Not much else to do.

I never pre-write plots for exactly this reason.

Secondly, they're idiots this is a test. If you fail and still live, they'll just enslave and or stab you in the guts. You don't want to get stabbed in the guts, do you?

Minus the join the natives.  In my opinion why not kill everyone?  Maybe we can eventually purge the island and or find someone worth following.

Not the worst idea.  Add to this, see if you can gather:
1) why you are here.
2) why pirates are here.
3) where here is.
4) will there be zombies.
5) will the alternatively be experimental treatments to turn you into a feral machine who foolishly tries to cure himself after killing an island.

Interogate at least one native and one pirate.  Preferably, in private.

No we should stay on their good side until were patrollng at a dock or airport, then we can escape.
