Video recording programs
« on: November 26, 2012, 08:05:47 pm »

What are other video recording programs for the computer? You know, programs kind of like FRAPS, except... not being FRAPS I guess.

Asking because I think you guys know the most stable version of these programs.

I have no idea, but I think X-fire might have some recording abilities.
I dunno though, I never really did anything with it once I downloaded it.

Out of curiosity, why the hatred of FRAPS? I've used it to make gaming videos and found it simple and effective.

I really like this program called Bandicam. It's pretty HiDef and easy to use, but it has issues with some games (which you can fix with enough tinkering) It costs money, if you choose to get it legally, and it's pretty customizable. It doesn't use too much memory for the recordings and isn't taxing at all on the computer while recording.

Camtasia is a pretty good recorder that is simple to use.
