Changing pillars in to walls?

Dwarves have created pillars - how do I change this to a wall?

Are you getting cancellation messages?
Your dwarves may be standing on the tile they want to build on, if this is happening cancel the construction and build a new one.

Pillars are just walls that are either by themselves or on the end of a wall. Once your dwarves finish building those last few designated spots they should convert from pillars into normal wall tiles.

Thanks guys - it turns out there were a couple of things in the way - stopped construction, then rebuilt and it was done in seconds. My OCD is at peace again.
