A quarry is a yard where stone is being mined. Thus you need stone (doesn't matter which), but that's not hard to come by usually.  ;)

For the metal, you're pretty much screwed. Either buy it from a caravan, or lose that dwarf in the end. It's not much of a deal.

Yeah I realized the quarry thing now haha I just assumed that it had to be something else since why would he need an actual quarry in a workshop, not possible, and not a single conclusion was drawn that it could be something as simple as him just needing stone. Only thing I found in the wiki was the bush hehe :P

Well I guess you're right, I'm screwed on the metal bars, he will probably not wait for much longer before going insane :/

A dedicated wood burner and furnace operator may solve that issue fast, though, if you have already mined out some metal ores.

You can smelt ore into metal bars if you have charcoal, which's made from wood in wood burner ( and need wood burner labor found in the uh farming labors? ) and a furnace and furnace operator ( which's in metalworking labors ).

Yeah I know how to create bars but I don't think my lazy dwarfs will make it in time :P Even with restricted labors.. well I'll hope for the best since last time someone was struck by a mood it was the possessed variant, and he didn't gain any experience and he created a boring object :/

EDIT: Well look at that, someone finally decided to not stand around and aim to smelt some native gold bars!! :D

Nice. A legendary mason is nice to have for the general happiness of your fort.
