So I was poking around and found the Journey of the Five patch that has a Blue Mage class (he calls it an Animist). If that's where you're having issues he might be able to help. Then again, I don't know how complete the generic classes are since the patch is still in progress, so he may not actually have a functional blue mage.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

After a bit of inspiration, I found a stupidly simple workaround for the Blue Mage problem.

Don't suppose I could interest folks in starting this LP up again?

Last you left off, you were recruiting a high brave-low faith Libra to serve primarily as a Monk or Samurai with the Jump ability.

Woo thread is back!  I don't think reraise would have helped things though.  Little late, you would need Life or Life 2 and even then you would have to hope the thread had high faith. 

Fortunately Meph applied a phoenix down for you though, I'll happily donate an X-potion or 3 to the cause to get the tread back and kicking again.
