[SOLVED] Breeding Troubles
« on: November 06, 2012, 10:57:25 am »

Hi. For about two years now I've had a male and female pig, as well as a hen and a rooster. However, they have not reproduced. These animals are soon to be my only food source, and I would like some help.

Additional info: They're both in the same pasture.

EDIT: As I finished posting, I found a piglet. Sorry!

You need a nest box for birds.
And I'm concerned that you don't have farms up...

Real dorfs act like Warcraft Orcs.  Pig Farms FTW!  :)

Yeah, you need nest box for birds to lay eggs in, and to either a door to keep dwarves from grabbing the eggs or disabling the eggs in food stockpile setting, I prefer using a door, myself!

I also tend to try to get two female birds whenever I can, since sometimes they won't hatch even with male under the 50 animals limit.
