I was playing around with bronze colossi in the object testing arena, when I noticed that humans can totally survive having their head broken open.

Although she flashes red as if she had a mortal wound, she hasn't even suffered a speed decrease from having her skull broken. She left about 17 tons of her blood all over the place and keeps going.

Further experimentation shows that most types of animal people are able to survive having their head broken open, although the smaller kinds are just instantly decapitated by having their head pinched. Same story for animals; big ones survive with major blood loss, small ones get beheaded. So... if you're attacked by a bronze colossus, have your head broken open and somehow manage to escape, you just walk around with your brain hanging out for the rest of your life?

I can't create a scenario like this in actual Adventure mode because a real colossus wouldn't just pinch somebody's head and let them escape. Has anybody ever had a wound like this and seen the long-term ramifications? Does it ever heal or go away? Will it kill, eventually?

I still don't know who originally posted this, but it's still my all-time favorite injury:

I tore out a mans skull. Strangely, he survived. I went on my merry way, certain he wouldn't survive LOSING HIS SKULL.

He did. I found him some time later, with a "Massive round scar" on his head. And no skull.

NO SKULL.

So apparently they're fine afterwards.

you needs to make a bronze colossus adventure to go and liberate the people of the world of their skulls without killing them!

Also, grabbing someone by the teeth with your hand and piching it creates a weird teeth explosion, spreading their chompers as far as 4 tiles away.

Yeah, blows to the mouth/teeth send loads of teeth flying everywhere.

well the only way you can save a person who head was crack open like that would be if a colossus did that to one of your companions while you're in a safe distance away to escape. the fast travel will heal any bleeding or wounds but leave you with a skull less unit.
