School has been too easy for me this year, and so I end up spending my time just watching videos and playing df. No matter how fun that may sound , I need [italics]something[/italics] to do. Any suggestions are welcome, it can be physical or virtual, but preferably not just a new distraction.

What do you define as a waste of time that isnt just a distraction?

Is there anything that you are interested in? School is the same way for me, so I study subjects that interest me on my own. It makes the day more bearable, and most teachers don't really care if you pay attention as long as you get good grades and don't interrupt the class, so it's really easy to study during school.

ISP - I just meant that I don't really need games to play or things to watch or read... I'm more interested in creating something.

rutsber - I'm interested in programming, drawing, and shop-class-like stuff. I know I could probably come up with something on my own, but that makes it too easy for me to just give up on it.

Learn a language

You could learn another language. If the levels are sufficiently different, it shouldn't be a problem - so, if you're on your third or fourth year in the language at school.

You could learn a programming language. What do you currently know?

Making chainmail is easy, progress is measurable, and starting isn't expensive.

I'd go with learning programming. I wish I had at that age. If you're like 50% of the other people around here, in your 20s or 30s the game development bug will bite you and you'll be prepared.

Learn to bookkeep, its something you'll find totally interesting for several months if not years, or you could take up pump operation its a popular activity.

I guess you could draw, art is something that takes a long time to learn and is actually a very good base for knowlege building, just because it takes great knowlege of the working of the world to make good art, and great art take having good senses and control to make, or great feeling and instict...

Art, it takes body and soul, though it never really gets you anywhere, you'll feel good doing it.
