Quantum Stockpile Trouble

I'm having trouble setting up a minecart quantum stockpile.
This is my first time dealing with minecarts and hauling, so I tried following the guide here:
http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2012:Exploit#Quantum_stockpiles
to set up a quantum stockpile for vermin remains (as a test for more important items). I pretty much did everything it said, but it doesn't work (just one remain item is in every space). Nothing is being loaded into the minecart.
So what are common things that I might have overlooked? Is that guide missing anything?
Or is the minecart loading task just really low priority?

Have you made sure the minecart's stop is taking from the refuse pile entry, with correct stockpile option on the stop used, and the track stop is dumping in direction that the refuse quantum pile is?

Since it's vermin remains: have you checked your refuse orders?

Thank you muzzz, that was probably the problem. I still had "Ignore vermin" on. I'll check now.
