Editing a Single Character: Can it be Done?

I know how to edit entire races in Dwarf Fortress, but sometimes I want to edit only one character.  Is there a way to do this?

In game? I wouldn't have thought so. Theres third-party editors like DFHack that might let you do what you wanted to, though.

Without some of the more complex editors, I don't think so.

But I'd sooo LOVE for someone to prove me wrong and tell me how to do it.

Runesmith used to be able to change people's stats and skills, but afaik it's just not up do date yet.

What do you want it for? Adventure mode?  Specific dwarf in fort?  There are no direct ways to edit specific creatures but there are some workarounds that might work depending on what you want.
