Did you used to teach the Math 51 course at Stanford University? I am a math major at Stanford and I remember when I took Math 51 the course materials were posted at math.stanford.edu/~tarn. According to Math Genealogy you got your PhD in math from Stanford under Brian White. I didn't have Prof. White but he subbed in for my regular prof in set theory class once.

It's good to know that your divine personage once walked these halls.

Maybe you'll recognize some of these math professors I've had: Adrian Clingher, Dragos Oprea, Peter Storm, Todor Milanov, Matt Young, Marc Pauly, Gunnar Carlsson, Eleny Ionel.

[Toady One]

Yeah, that's me.  I TA'd for 51 a couple of times (I think it was a couple of times... I did a lot of different classes).  Adrian Clingher was on my defense committee, and I was in one of Gunnar's classes.  I recognize a few of the others, but I don't remember if I met them.

Man, I'd like to see Toady teaching. I also study mathematics at the University of Helsinki, and one of my professors' classes are a lot like what I'd imagine Toady's being. He seems to have a similar sense of humor, and actually looks a bit like Tarn, too. A really funny guy.

Toady, how much for you to teach a class or two at Helsinki?
