Advice for a traitor ( playing elves ! )
« on: October 07, 2012, 06:28:00 am »

 :P

Hi ,

Actually i'm playing high elves with civilization forge. And they don't have trap component like upright spikes.

So i went to the folder data -->save -->region1-->raw-->objects and i open the entity file of high elves. I add these lines

   [TRAPCOMP:ITEM_TRAPCOMP_GIANTAXEBLADE]
   [TRAPCOMP:ITEM_TRAPCOMP_ENORMOUSCORKSCREW]
   [TRAPCOMP:ITEM_TRAPCOMP_SPIKEDBALL]
   [TRAPCOMP:ITEM_TRAPCOMP_LARGESERRATEDDISC]
   [TRAPCOMP:ITEM_TRAPCOMP_MENACINGSPIKE]

But when i reload my game. My high elves can't build these items !

I think i missed something... but i wan't to know what ! Any idea ?

Most entity modding isn't save-game retroactive, sorry. It requires a new world gen.

Play like an elf, live like one. No traps for you. Anyways you could hijack a reaction that you aren't using temporarily to create the items without regening the world.

Elves should just choke points.

I had an above ground garden built in the grounds of my castle and two young dwarves spent time socialising there over the summer and at the end of the summer they were in love. Remember those long summers of your childhood? That first kiss in the gardens while crossbows dwarves shoot goblins above your head? The rain of dead birds as the hunters get to work? Truly Spearhills is a paradise.
