Building walls/floors question

I am not sure how to phrase this question properly, I wish to build a max length wall, one tile high, ten wide. Other then hitting K ten times, is there a shortcut to tell the interface you want a full width/length construction? I would find it extremely useful when replacing an entire floor of say 8X8 'shift' widths. Thanks folks,

You can use the 'u','m,'k' and 'h' keys to make the wall longer/wider in the direction you need. :-)

That's exactly what he's already doing ("hitting K ten times") - the question was how to immediately extend it to 10 tiles in one keystroke, and the answer is "you can't".

There are scripts though that let you "free build" walls with just a click of a mouse  I think. Only con that you can't choose the material, it takes the first one on the list.
