Does worldgen incorporate meteorite impacts, or are these eroded volcanic craters?

Looks like frozen lakes to me in evil biome surrounded by mountains.

There're nothing in space in DF, currently.

Those look like mountain valleys. They tend to happen in real life when a spring is found high in the mountains, forms a lake, and then carves out the rest of the valley around itself. A completely normal part of the world-gen process.

World gen doesn't incorporate meteoric/volcanic craters.
