Renaissance Dwarf?
« on: July 13, 2013, 07:03:23 pm »

So, basically, I've always wanted to know something:
How plausible is it to train a dwarf in every single skill in the game?
Is it possible? Will someone try it?
Has it been done yet?
What would be the Dwarven Science applications? Or other applications?

The first one reported was Morul for 40d version.
Some guy attempted to do this in current version, I don't remember whether he did. Search "The most interesting dwarf." if you're interested.

Yes, there was the epic case of Mörul Cattenmat. Looking into the linked thread is highly recommended.

Take note that this was in an earlier version (40d?), because Mörul did not suffer from skill rust, which would make such efforts exponentially more time-consuming in 0.34.11. It also seems like he didn't need to get legendary in brutally-hard-to-train military skills like kicker, student and leader.

It _is_ possible to build a dwarf who has hand-crafted every thing he or she owns and who is legendary in a dozen skills, and proficient or better in a dozen others.
