On the subject of steel; steel does rust. Stainless steel also will corrode and rust eventually but it is a boat load more resistant. Its the Chromium man!  My apologies if this has already been addressed in an adequate and satisfying manner.

If bronze colossi can heal, steel FBs can probably fight off corrosion.

This makes them less stupid.

It also makes them blind, which actually is bad in the newer versions. Bombs all the rolls.

You did notice the part where their lungs rot away, right? You might get pain-free, less-stupid dwarves, but they won't be able to breathe. Having them keel over shortly after exposure somewhat defeats the purpose of having super warriors.

They'll be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine.

Speaking of which, I've never seen any tentacled fiends. They are present in body_rcp but it seems they are discarded in favor of  square shell or sting.
