But regardless, you are going to need a strong military to deal with the undead guarding it.
And not only undead. Just sayin'...

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

that's armoks spirit.
it's just that I have yet to find lignite/bituminous, and am having sparse trees.
I haven't dug to magma, so no magmaforge

tldr: no armor or weapons except for bought(which resulted in 2 great axedwarfs though :))

They died for their fellow Dwarves. They will be remembered, at least until your Dwarves see a particularly nice statue.

Don't be a liar - you know full well that something bad will happen.

If somebody lied and told me that something was perfectly safe and I later discovered otherwise, I'd be pretty damn angry and would never trust anything they ever said ever again. Is that what you really want to happen?

When players ask about stuff like this, the proper response is "Try it and let us know what happens", not blatant lies.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Silly him, he should know it's Dwarf Fortress.

Something bad always happens. If it doesn't, you're playing it wrong.
