Strange and Wild Landscape

Now that is out of the way, Who wants to explain?

Also, I embarked on a brook, with deep and shallow metals.
Deep soil and clay.

The amount of malice in this thread is actually causing me some concern. I mean, chaining up mothers and forcing them to breed, just so we can drown their children to harvest their organs? Does this strike no one else as absolutely horrific?
You misspelled 'hilarious'

some sort of bug, most likely. Terrain generation errors are fairly common.

...Save?

I suspect it's a deep-valleyed, ginormous river. Which sounds AWESOME.

What are all those shades of green?

Looks like a good-aligned forest to me, they tend to have all sorts of bluish-green colours. I think it's the trippy grass.

As for the gorge, I think it's a "major" river. They tend to be about that wide, and sometimes they are the full width of the gorge they cut into the landscape yielding some pretty cool terrain. All in all, looks like a pretty cool embark.

This. You get bonus points if you can build your entire fortress suspended above said river by drawbridges and a single pillar of stone.
