How is it possible that I have a child migrant with the farming skill on? Two months old Studir Insightcrafted is defying convention!

I'm guessing he is gathering food from your farm fields right?  If you allow all dwarves to gather food from farms in the Orders menu (sorry, can't remember exact name for that right now) children will go up and grab anything that grows.  They will also demolish any constructed walls/floors if everyone else is busy, which is sometimes used to lure them into death traps !!happy fun rooms!!

Oh wait no I was in confusion, mistaken by names and dwarf therapist. Sorry. So basically children will help in fields huh? Interesting ! At last a use for these little bastards.

Also you can use dwarf therapist to 'cheat' by enabling children (Not babys) to be able to do labours just like the grown ups

I don't however the option is there in Therapist

Planters are quite useful, and that's better than having them babbling about their non-existant clothes. At the time one of your children becomes an adult, they will also be legendary planters, so that's more harvest per crop. Industry boom!
