Actually, most cacao is produced in Africa nowadays, because large scale plantations in South America tends to die to parasite that aren't present in Africa (It's the same reason most rubber come from Malaysia rather than South America). So you could do that simply by bringing those parasite across the Atlantic.

But it is a vital cash crop that sustains entire countries. Also, 90% of it is produced using child labor/slaves.

or maybe Valve goes out of business because they invested too heavily in something which then fails - like, say, human civilization.
Alternatively, initiate strife to refuse additional baked goods, and then abscond.

Bad press has done a lot to lessen the whole child slave thing by this point. Companies like Nestle may not care about using child slavery, but they do care about bad press, and they've gotten it before due to that.

It probably still happens sometimes, but not anywhere near 90%.
