Guide to making SMAC multiplayer ready


1. Make a fresh install of SMAC. (GoG has it for like $5 I think)

2. Download and install the XP fix (even if your OS is something else like win7 etc) -> PATCH 1

3. Unzip the 2.0 patch into your SMAC folder -> PATCH 2

4. Install Hamachi (we'll use this for simulating a LAN network online to connect to the lobby) 

5. Make sure windows firewall lets both Hamachi and SMAC through on the network. If you're confused just turn it off. Don't blame me if your computer explodes though.

6. Use info in this thread to get to the game once we do stuff and actually organise something. Dibs on the Spartans! >_>
