Juniper's Knot
« on: August 20, 2012, 08:19:52 pm »

"A short kinetic novel crafted in a month by Dischan, Juniper’s Knot is a story told from dual perspectives: that of a demon and a boy. It begins on an autumn morning in a silent town. "

http://junipersknot.dischan.org/

This only took me about an hour and a half to play through but is was rather well done and quite interesting.  I'm recommending it to any of the usual sort who like visual novels and also to anyone who hasn't tried one before as its brevity is an asset for newcomers.

Honestly they just did a good job making this.

(Note: Kinetic visual novels have no choices to make, this is essentially a story merged with pictures, music, and sound effects.  Altogether this means its about an encapsulated experience rather than an interactive situation.)

Great story. Downloaded it, played through it, loved it. Told my friends about it, and they thought it was pretty cool, too.
If you're not convinced, Indiegames did an article about it: http://indiegames.com/2012/04/freeware_game_pick_junipers_kn.html
