Slaves of Armok I Help?
« on: August 19, 2012, 12:14:16 pm »

Hello.

I've been trying to play this game as the Ant Queen but I just "Slip and fall" the first move.

Is that a bug?

Is this game even playable?

I am currently investigating what Brainfreez is on. It is the greatest drug that any man, woman, kobold or pony has ever seen, going off of that everything he posts is pure win.

No it's not really playable and nobody has even really touched it since late 2010, so don't expect anybody here to really know anything about considering 80% of the people here didn't join until well after it's board closed.

where did you download it ?
I was wondering this myself, considering Toady stopped official distributions several years ago.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Of course it's a bug. You're playing as one.

You seem to know a bit of this game.

Can you give me a short description of what you can do in it?

I believe you can use the magic system to teleport peoples organs outside their bodies. Thats about all I know.

Take note; this is the future of Dwarf Fortress when magic is added.

Here's a tip, though... Use Russian characters in your WPA5 passphrase. If your spontaneous AI is anything like my spontaneous AI (not as aggressive as yours, good conversation, but actually worse than me at chess*), it can't handle any character outside of the CODEPAGE 437 list.

*I hope. It could just be lulling me into a false sense of security.

Actually I believe Toady said he was in favour of procedurally generated magic for Dwarf Fotresss. So I'm sure we would have even more wierdness.
In fact I think he said something about wanting to do it with artifacts (having a randomly triggered, random effect), so we're probably going to end up with some sort of SCP like objects.
(that teleport your organs outside your body)
