Themed squads.
« on: August 11, 2012, 04:05:09 pm »

So, after playinmg Masterwork Dwarf Fortress, I decided to make a squad based on each of the races:

Dwarves:

The dwarves were tricky. They must wield the most absolutely most dorfy thing ever. So I gave them warhammers. Made of blood. Except for the commander, who has a warhammer. Made of slade. Armor is basically a full set of steel plated candy, with lamellar leather (Strong as iron) used for all clothing pieces. The commander gets a +SLADE ARMOR OF ARMOK+, decorated with menacing spikes of elven blood, magma, and adamantine, with lamellar leather undereath

Any suggestions for the other races? I'll do an edit when I figure out the others.

Now make an elf themed squad and give them all rope reed fiber armor and wooden training swords.

Elves in masterwork use mithril. Mithril is like steel, but better. They also sell incredibly powerful tamed warbeasts, such as dragons, plaguebearers, giant desert scorpions, dogs made of lava, and so on and so forth. There are also the drow, which are like Elves, but dorfy.

A Day at the circus!:

7 clownbound Dwarven berserkers, with:

2 candy two handed swords
2 slade bucklers
Full candy plate mail, and candy clothing

Followed by:

2 clownomancers, with lamellar leather clothing died black.

And one:

Unnamed one Clownomancer. No Armor or clothing is neccesary.

The Clownbound dwarves are mpressive melee pranksters, with their NO_PAIN and PRONE_TO_RAGE:1. Slade bucklers are in there to block dragonfire, while other armor is kept light to maximise speed, over say, slade armor. The Clownomancers hang back, and use their standup routine of "Throw Blood Spike", and even raise the dead with the quality of their jokes. The Unnamed One, who I shall now refer to as the Clownlord Beezelbozo, brings the house down, with !!FUN!! and xxFUNxx, and even (FUN)! "Friendly" fire extremely possible.
