I can't access Adventure or Legends mode?

Hello I am new to the forums and relatively new to dwarf fortress as well(started playing for the second time a few days ago). My fortress has been doing well so and I decided I wanted to go in Legends mode and read my worlds history but I couldn't find the game-mode. All it says is continue playing, and I looked at other videos and it is supposed to say "start playing"?

You cannot enter Adventurer Mode or Legends Mode in a world that already has an existing Fortress Mode save - you'll have to make a backup copy of the world and abandon the fortress if you want to view its Legends info.
