.... I just had an awful idea. SPEND ALL MY POINTS(except for SOME starting resources like booze/wood obviously) ON CATS. Gonna make a poll and follow through if everyone agrees.

Edit: Hoo boy.... Everyones voting "All of them" so far. This should be fun to say the least. Well, I suppose the zombies are going to have quite a lot of meat to get through first.

go do the masterwork mod and do challenge 10 (embark somewhere with nothing but your wagon and first 7 dwarves). as a bones turn on all civs and go to war with any allied civ (exept dorfs (unless you want to)) the min you see them.

if anyone else wants to add something to this it would be awesome

also if someone tries this plz do a story thing of it  :D

No traps, no danger room, no drawbridge barriers.  That should be enough challenge for a bit.

"no drawbridge barriers" should really be, "There must be an unmechanized path to the surface at all times."  When I play this way, I would find myself constructing walls to keep the baddies out.

I now realize that combining those two mods sort of makes worldgen MUCH longer and I haven't found an evil desert in 3 max size worlds. Gonna just stick to fortress defense by itself.

Not just cats, get some bunnies and other useless animals that breed exponentially as well.  Bypass the pop cap for each individual species =p

OR

Edit the raws to make cats war trainable.  Find a way to make war cats viable in defense.
