Minecart track
« on: August 04, 2012, 02:22:22 pm »

I built a track between an old stone stockpile and a new one. It seems to finally be working. However the dwarves do not use the track. Instead they slowly push the mine carts everywhere but where the track is. The track is curved and they don't seem to like it... How do I get them to use the track instead of walking everywhere but on it.

Also I heard there is something special you need to do when making track/ramps. What is it exactly?

Not sure about ramps, but tracks need to be designated routes from the h screen. Check the wiki for additional info.

Yeah I set it up how it was suppose to work. I remade the stops and left 1 track behind the stop and it seems to have fixed the first problem.

Good. Did you have to make stops in corners/turning points? Or just start-end?

You need to make sure the stops are on the tracks, not on the edge of them.
