Screenshots of the fortress?

I have seen (via the SA thread) some really good screenshots of extensive fortresses.  I looked around in-game but don't see a way to export or screenshot the game area.  How to do this?  Composite shots of windowed mode?

There should be an option to export fortress to BMP in the esc menu. I think it was included in the latest version.
