How to keep the Gobs alive?

Been tinkering wurh worldgen and a few mods ro the raws...  Gobs have the lowest/smallest expansion priority list of all vanilla(albit they can go anywhere but water).

How can I get them the survive?  In most medium 200yr worlds they end up w/25k while the others are 140!  Even kbolds are 60k...

I just have loads of starting civs. Then you get a few clowns that lead the gobs to glorious victory.

its because of their nature , they are asking for death by attacking dwarves and humans , usually they are in war with all civilisations and get siged by them all .

I upped the starting number of breeding pairs to 150... but.  Heh, I did that to humes,and they exploded.

Are you saying ethics tags actually affect behavior?

Yes it does, that's why goblins are at war with everyone and why elves are more likely to be at war with humans or dwarfs while dwarfs are less likely to be at war with humans.

What are you trying to achieve? As long as the goblins do not die out, it will have no effect on fort mode if there are not many of them. AFAIK sieges and ambushes are mostly (maybe entirely) generated when they enter the map.

I didn't think they would actullay off each other any more than dwarfs would hammer in worldgen...

In any case, I upped their expansion, added a few more breeding pairs, and ripped off orcs and made them a subset[caste] of gobs...  They seem... heartier now.  They advanced the world ages +20 years faster than prior to the modding!

edit: I used the same seeds before and after, and I may eb paranoid but
I think the orcs changes the good/evil layout slightly...

Well, first off, even if a goblin civ is (in legends numbers) reduced to three goblins and their pet troll, they will still be able to send countless ambushes and thieves, and sieges of dozens of goblins and squads of trolls.

Second off, if you're feeling daring give them a new metal, high combat skills, larger size, or something. Or just make them breed faster or murder less or something.
