Windows 7 32 -> 64 Upgrade... Back to square one...
« on: July 26, 2012, 07:32:04 am »

So after finding out that I had an install disc for Windows 64 Bit in my collection. And wondering to myself why I installed 32 Bit instead of the 64 Bit way back when I first upgraded. I finally got around to upgrading the system, only to find that I have to start almost all the way back at square one. At least I don't have to redownload all my steam games again cause they were on my External but all my Program Settings are erased and such...

Is it the windows Installer's fault. Sort of. But mainly it was a mistake I made which caused all my settings to be lost. Now I have to go over everything and find them all again... T_T Oh well back to work...

Dwarven blood types are not A, B, AB, O but Ale, Wine, Beer, Rum, Whisky and so forth.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

You would have to do a complete clean install to upgrade to 64bit anyways, what you could have done though was do a profile backup and then transfer it over to the new OS saving your program settings.

Yeah, I know, still kinda annoying what it was doing. Wouldn't install so I tried to make my C:/ Drive a little bigger by moving the partition from my Secondary lower to give it more space, and accidentally formatted the second... I was like. Welp that fucked it. I had a backup for my C Drive on my External but that bugged out cause well yeah. I don't know how to Backup correctly :P
Matters little and thus, it matters not. Always good to start from scratch every now and then, just gotta find all those GOOD Webcomics I had in my Bookmarks...
