U.S. Telegraph
« on: July 26, 2012, 07:52:53 am »

I started up this tread to see if maybe I could send a telegraph to a random person in the US where I live. Does anyone know the answer to my question?

There are no functioning telegraph lines currently running anywhere in the world. The last functioning telegraph line was disabled in the 1970's.

Note that some wireless telegraph services still exist in such dens of scum and villainy as Mexico, but no wired telegraphs exist anywhere and most of the wireless services have been shut down due to email and phone services. Western Union provided the last wireless telegraph service in the US, but discontinued it in 2006 because who the hell is going to send a telegraph?
